Sweater Weather Tag ft Grace K

Happy "hump" day lovelies!

So as you know I'm a dedicated YouTube watcher. And I don't mean the search for a random video kind, I'm a real deal subbie. I follow various YouTubers on their channels and wait to get notified about new videos. I love vlogs, hair, make-up and food tutorials. The one thing I especially love is the Tags! And I've been wanting to do some for a while, but as I'm not venturing off into the Vlogsphere any time soon, I decided I'd start some up here :)

How appropriate is it to have the first one be a #SweaterWeather tag? If you've read my Taking stock Autumn 2016 post you'll know how much I love this time of year. And I met someone who's equally excited about it, my (in another life) twin *cheesing* So grab whatever hot drink you fancy and enjoy the read.

Favourite candle scent?
I love the smell of vanilla-caramel and autumn leaves. I love the smell of pine in the woods; it's very calming and has an air of serendipity that allows me to escape to an intangible place that transcends physical domain. I call this place "Ëranudiamopolis" my place, my secret place.
Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate?
Tea, definitely tea. And it has to be Earl Grey. Second, coffee, black. I gotta have my coffee and I love a good caramel mochiatto! I used to love hot chocolate but I'm lactose-intolerant so I can't have it unless I use lactose-free ingredients. But from time to time the chocolate monster in me awakens and I just grab myself a big cup of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. And you know what, it's a guilty pleasure that I thoroughly enjoy, but only for a moment

Best autumn/fall memory you have?
I lived on campus in University. I went to Eastern University, Templeton Honours College in Sparrowk Hall. I loved that hall and fought  to keep my room for all four years I was there,(yes, yes it was very boss of me, you may applaud now). I used to LOVE reading from the lounge right outside my room. It had a Victorian age like seat that was velvety red and it was surrounded by other non Victorian age like chairs. /i didn't sit on the fancy seat a lot. Instead I would take the simple chairs and drag them by the window through which i could see the stream in my view and the trees that surrounded my school. some trees grew so tall that their branches reached the window of the lounge. I loved that spot and loved going there to read. I would sit and read books there for hours, just read and converse with those that once lived but now are gone. Those that were gracious enough to leave their thoughts and ideas for me to read and experience; those that gave me the pleasure of knowing them through their works. I literally conversed with the dead.
I also wrote most of my short poems there and I loved it. I looked forward to fall because that was when Ëranudiamopolis existed. My place, my secret place.

Which make-up trend do you prefer, dark lips or winged eye liner?
I have no idea what either of those are hahaha lolz. I have never wear make-up. Winged eye liner sounds funny. I'm imagining wings on eye lashes and the eye lashes flapping like wings of birds and enabling the person to fly. But of course that's not what those are, right?

Do you switch up your make-up routine for the season?
Nope, I don't wear make-up, but I do switch up my curtains to go with the season.

Do you switch up your hair routine for the season?
Honestly, I don't change my hair according to the season. However, I try to keep my hair in braids during winter because, well, you know how that cold weather can be brutal to this African hair. Lolz

Best fragrance for autumn/fall?
Soap, hahaha!

Favourite autumn/fall food?
Penera Bread has this chicken and spinach  soup that's just like little fairies elegantly waltzing with my taste buds.

What's the weather like now where you live?
I live in Wayne, PA, a few minutes from Philly. I love autumn because the weather is cool, the colour of the leaves change and they begin to fall from the trees. Everything begins to change as nature undresses herself to put on a new gown of white (snow). The squirrels panic, gathering as many nuts as possible and the blooms of summer begin to tuck themselves right back underneath the ground. I love going to the streams when the water is shallow and the fish don't even try to hide anymore. The sun shines, always, but not as hot as before and you can still wear shorts and tank tops one last time before winter sets in. And when the leaves fall, oh, what a beautiful canopy they form on the ground. I love the  smell of backyard barbeques and the wood burning in the autumn. This weather is perfect for backyard camoing and many people do just that. You get to grab one last Rita's Ice, just one last Italian Ice in autumn.
So what's the autumn weather like where I live?
It's orange and brown with autumn decorations all over town; everything is so mellow,
when your spirits are high, in the streets you greet every fellow,
and from time to time you invite them over for apple cider and smores and gooey marshallows.
Sweaters and scarves and boots and even more sweaters!
Pumkin spiced lattes, pumpkin spiced muffins, hot apple cider and pumpkin pie.
It's all really great, I cannot lie.

Most worn sweater?
I have this  little beige/brown sweater that my mom got for me in Truworths. It is really simple with little black buttons and a small black rim around the neck. It is so simple and that's what I find beautiful about it. I can wear it in any season and I actually do. It is simply and it is lovely. Also, I have a hoody obsession. The first step to getting better is admitting you have a problem and yes, I have a problem with not having hoodies.

Must have nail colour for autumn/fall?
*shy emoji* I do not paint my nails *smiley emoji*

Jumping in piles of leaves or nahhh?
Yessssss!!!! Definitely yes!!! I even have a pictures, let me send those to you.

Skinny jeans or leggings?
I like leggings because they're comfortable, but you have to wear them right. What I mean by that is youu can't just walk around in leggings and a short t-shirt or something, you gotta wear a long sweater or a long shirt. I also like skinny jeans because, well, they fit me right. Hahaha.

Combat boots or Uggs?
You can take the girl out of the tomboy phase but you can't take the tomboy out of the girl, so definitely combat boots. Hahaha that didn't make sense, but you get it right? :D

Scarf or beanie/hat?
Scarf and beanie hat...it's a hat and a beanie, it's a beanie hat and it works :)

Are you a pumpkin spice flavoured drink fan?
You know, I don't know what the big deal with pumkin spice foods is. They have pumpkin spice pie, pumpkin spice apple crumble and pumpkin spice coffee! It doesn't sound very good, but next fall when Starbucks is all the rage about their new pumpkin spice beverage, I just might give it a try.

Favourite T.V. show?
The Office USA...and Parks and Recreation (I had to throw that one in).

Favourite song?
Lead me to Calvary

Et Viola! Be on the look out for more tags ;) and hope you're enjoying the new changes to the blog.

Bisous
