A new season

As we know a change in season is a part of life. We're never stuck in one season for long and with the change comes life, death, growth and so much more. "God never made us with the intention of staying the same."

We see it in weather patterns. Going from Spring to summer to autumn to fall and back again. We also see it in life, growth is inevitable and the beautiful babies we see today will be terrible toddlers soon. Children become teenagers and young adults finally grow up and have children of their own. It's the same for our  spiritual lives and the passage in Ecclesiastes 3 vs 1-8 explains the different times and seasons that we go through.

Note to self

A little while ago I started this series of notes to myself and I thought that I'd share one of them with you. I might post them every once in a while but not necessarily announce them so keep an eye out for them if you're interested.

20/01/16:
Contrary to popular belief, the whole world doesn't need to know what you are thinking/going through at every given moment. Sometimes all you need to do is write yourself a note and lock it away. The art of putting feelings to paper(memos) is soothing all on its own without being tarnished by likes, shares, tweets and comments.

P.s. just cause I'm not posting, doesn't mean I'm not writing. You only have to take a look at my phone, journal or sticky notes to know better. ;)

Or a yummy butterscotch latte in my case.

There's really something special about slowing down, getting stuck in a book and smelling [read drinking] coffee. And on a lovely Tuesday morning in a little corner of the mall I found a place where I could do that.

How to : Nude Lips, Plum Liner and Other Pretty Things

So this may come as a shock to some of you, but I'm not really a make-up girl. Well that is, I'm not an all out make-up girl. I used to be, ask my sisters, and would not leave the house without putting my whole face on. But life and school catch up with you and NOBODY is going to be waking up like two hours earlier just to get all that done, so I gave it up and started getting comfortable in my own skin. It was a little hard at fist and I didn't start off by going cold turkey (I hang on to my foundation for so long) but with time, a lot of water and great face care practices I now leave my house with only moisturizer and lip balm(or Vaseline) on.

Okay back to the point of this blog, with all that said, I am not anti-makeup. Don't get me wrong, I still have to restrain myself when I walk past the Mac store in the mall like every other little girl and I get ll dolled up when I have the time or there's an occasion. This last week, I had plenty time, lol so I got my stuff out and played with my face. Right now I am absolutely obsessed with nudes, browns and all things natural looking. I actually spent some time googling what other girls are doing and watching a bunch of my favourite YouTubers talk about their everyday makeup routines. I prepped my face (really important step) and got to playing
